Roger Bloor from Gisborne has this bike under construction. He has built and raced speedway sidecars for 15 years and thought it was time for a change. Roger says that he used to race against Chris Mackrell when he was racing sidecars in Napier, so this may be the reason he is changing over to Dragbike Racing. Roger hopes to have it finished for the 2003 season.

Some of the specifications:-

All frame tubes 2mm wall seamless high-tensile hydraulic tube, tig welded. Body work 2mm 5083 alloy. Vertically adjustable rear axle mounts for traction controllability via chain angle. Fuel cell will be adjustable forwards and back  ( weight bias control. Front and Rear weight %). Wheel base 92-95". Fork rake will be 45*. Wheelie bars 85" long. As yet power plant to be announced. The rear wheel is 12 inches wide and the type/size of  the tyre is a Goodyear 15x13x29 motorcycle tyre. I've also decided on a front end Its a GSX400 Impulse. The rim has similar curved spokes as the rear rim.

We hope to bring you more on this bike as it progresses, and look forward to seeing it run.
